Membership
Hawkesbury Riding Club currently has over 300 members. There is an approx 2 year waiting list to join the club.

New memberships are offered at the start of each year, subject availability. If you would like to add your name to the membership waiting list, please contact our club secretary, Gail Benson.
Training days
HRC offers fortnightly Training Days to all members. These days are held on the second and fourth Sundays of each month, at the club ground.
Three sessions are usually held between 9.30am – 1.00pm.
Dressage, Show Jumping, Cross Country and Beginner Lessons are run in 10 different groups.

Group descriptions
All dressage and jumping groups are for junior and adult riders.
Members are graded into groups, depending on the experience of the combination and interest. On training days, you remain within your group for the first two sessions, with an option to join a different group/discipline for the third session.

Brown
Beginner children of any age who are not confident to ride out in the open. Riders can be either led or off the lead.
Note: that Brown group will only operate each training day based on the viability of the numbers attending and/or the availability of a coach. If the group is cancelled, riders
will have the option to participate in either Yellow or Pink group or receive a refund.​​
Pink
Green horse and/or rider starting to jump. Trot poles and jumps up to 45cm.

Silver
Show jumping and x-country training 45cm – 60cm.
​
Aqua
Show jumping and x-country training 60cm – 75cm.
​
Blue
Show jumping and x-country training 75cm – 95cm.
​
Purple
Show jumping and x-country training 95+ cm.

Yellow
Training at Preparatory Level dressage. Suitable for riders not yet confident to canter in the open.
​
Orange
Training at Prelim dressage. Can walk, trot and canter confidently in a group environment. Competing at prep / prelim level.
Green
Training at Novice level dressage. Includes lengthening of strides. Competing in dressage at preliminary / novice level.
Red
Training Elementary level and above. Includes lateral work and medium paces. Competing in dressage at novice / elementary and above.
